Deciphex, the leading global player in the provision of global preclinical digital pathology services, announced today that it has achieved certification against ISO 27001:2013, the premier global standard for Information Security Management Systems. With this certification, Deciphex has become the first company in Preclinical Digital Pathology space to achieve this level of validation of its security, privacy, and data protection policies. It also underlines the company's significant commitment to the highest standards for information security in its products and services.
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world's largest developer and creator of standards that specify worldwide requirements for products, services, processes, materials and systems. ISO 27001 is the international standard developed specifically for Information Security Management Systems ("ISMS"), requiring that a company uses a systematic approach to managing sensitive information and ensuring data security. Deciphex’s recent ISO 27001 certification by BSI Group recognises the Company's implementation of an effective information security system that complies with one of the most stringent international standards.
Deciphex CIO, Shane Ryan who led the development of the Information Security Management System, reflects on the importance of the certification for the company.
“Being awarded Accredited Certification for ISO 27001:2013 is a reflection of the level of input to the implementation process across all functions of our business. Our Culture of Security has now been independently verified by one of the leading Accredited Certification bodies. ISO 27001 allows us to protect critical information and systems while enabling the fast pace of our business to deliver unrivaled quality service to our customers. “
"As a provider of secure digital pathology content management and distribution that's delivered as a service (SaaS), this certification is an important demonstration of our commitment to the highest standards of internal security,"
said Dr Donal O’Shea, CEO of Deciphex.
"Not only does the ISO certification recognize our high security standards, but it lets our customers, partners and prospects know that we take the protection of their data extremely seriously."
